Integrating 3D photogeology with aeromagnetic data in mineral exploration

3D photogeology combined with geophysical data can be used to map lithostratigraphic units, faults and dykes in three dimensions defining the architecture of the sedimentary basin that plays an important role in the distribution of mineralization.

3D view of the Triassic sequence of Nordenskjöld Bjerg

3D view of the Triassic sequence of Nordenskjöld Bjerg (East Greenland) created with orthophotos draped on a digital elevation model developed from LIDAR data. Faults and fractures (red lines) and Triassic bedding (black lines).
